Let's Get Started!
There are 6 chapters and each one focuses on a different Trait of Writing: Ideas, Organization, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, Voice, and Conventions. The Dawg Blog is the place where we will share some of our thoughts and writing samples. You will complete Lesson 1 for each chapter, before moving on to Lesson 2. This is really going to be fun!
Before you begin, you will need a journal or notebook and a pencil or pen. Choose one that fits your personality. I want you to LOVE your journal...you'll be spending a lot of time with it. My journal has two pretty, red flowers on it. My favorite color is red and I am going to write with a red pen. I also like to use a freshly sharpened #2 pencil when I write.
